Our Purpose
Biodiversity, which encompasses the variety of life on Earth, is critical to the balance of our ecosystems and human well-being. However, it is increasingly under threat, e.g. from climate change, urbanisation and the exploitation of natural resources. In this context, we are all important actors in the fight for conservation and sustainable development.
The Biodiversity Express Course aims to empower the participants with a comprehensive understanding of biodiversity's significance across the globe. By exploring challenges and opportunities on each continent, the course seeks to inspire active participation in the conservation of ecosystems and the promotion of sustainable development.
Course goals
- Promote basic understanding of current knowledge, strategies and conservation practices appropriate for each continent based on Sustainable Development Goal 15.
- Provide quality education and ongoing support from experts to guide participants in the development of the course through discussions and live education hours.
- Our virtual learning platform will facilitate continuing education through courses, workshops, webinars, among others.
- To foster environmental leadership in our students and promote global citizenship committed to sustainable development and environmental protection.

What is the cost of the course?
- FREE: Access to the platform, educational materials, live classes, weekly debates, and networking sessions.
- $10: Everything in the $5 tier, plus a digital certification, a Poster and an educational toolkit from Green Dreams.
- $15: All of the above, PLUS a Green Dreams biodiversity-themed T-shirt (shipping not included).
How is the course structure?
- 5 modules
- Formal sessions with invited speakers
- Informal sessions (interaction between participants, discussions, debates, etc.)

How long does the course last?
The total duration of the course is 5 weeks.
How many hours should I dedicate to the course each week?
Participants are expected to dedicate 3 hours per week to the course.
On which platform will the course take place?
The course will be held on the Canvas and Zoom platform.
How will my progress be assessed?
There will be continuous assessment with weekly tests to measure progress.
Will there be opportunities for live interaction?
Yes, each week there will be one hour of live discussion with the SDG educator indicated.
What platform will be used for the live sessions?
The live sessions will be conducted through Zoom.
What happens if I cannot attend a live session?
The live sessions will be recorded and made available on Canvas for you to review later.
